Directions
To reach Mirepoix from Blagnac/Toulouse, take the A61 on the peripherique and follow the signs towards Carcassonne, Barcelona, and FOIX PEAGE (not Foix RN 20). Once you are on the A61 and have passed the toll booth, look for the A66 fork in the direction of Andorra. At the next toll booth, the road will merge with the N20 towards Foix. Take exit 6 towards Mirepoix and Lavelanet. Join the D119 in the direction of Mirepoix (first exit on the right at the roundabout) and continue through Les Pujols, Rieucros, Coutens, and Besset until you reach Mirepoix. Proceed straight at the first roundabout on the outskirts of the town, and at the second roundabout, turn right onto the D625 towards Lavelanet.
If you are coming from Carcassonne, follow the D119 towards Mirepoix. Drive through Montréal and Fanjeaux until you reach Mirepoix. After crossing the bridge, follow the signs that say "toutes directions". At the second set of traffic lights, turn left and then go straight at the roundabout onto the D625 towards Lavelanet.
On your way to Léran, pass through the village of La Bastide de Bousignac. It will take approximately 8 minutes to reach Aigues-Vives. When you see the sign announcing Aigues-Vives, slow down and indicate left because the left turn to Léran is concealed behind some buildings on the left side of the road. This left turn is the only sign for Léran. The road (D28) will directly lead you to the village in about 4 minutes.
After passing the church, make a right turn into cours St Jacques. On the left, you will find the mairie/school. Le Castelou, located at number 8 Cours St Jacques, is the next building on the left, just after the small crossroads. The house is pale yellow with white outlines around the windows.
