Le Campagnard, which served as both a local bar and restaurant, holds historical significance as the oldest section of the building dates back to the late 18th century when it served as a safe house and weapons depot for the local French resistance during World War Two. This establishment remained a popular gathering place until the 1960s under the ownership and management of the same local family for over a century.
